Allgood
In the late 1980s Allgood Music Co. emerged from Athens, Georgia as one of the leading bands of a new generation of groups playing real, authentic, roots rock and blues. Featuring a dynamic twin lead guitar attack, Allgood performed upwards of 200 shows a year in the early 1990s from coast-to-coast sharing the stage with leading bands of that time including the Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Widespread Panic, Blues Traveler and the Aquarium Rescue Unit. After releasing Ride The Bee (1991) on their own label, Allgood recorded two records for A&M Records, Uncommon Goal (1993) and Kickin’ and Screamin’ (1994). With fan favorites like Funky House and Trilogy anchoring ever-changing live sets, Allgood’s devoted following grew, especially in the southeast. The group disbanded in 1995, but in 2010 Allgood reformed featuring the original songwriting trio of Corky Jones (lead vocals and acoustic guitar), Mike Sain (bass), and Clay Fuller (lead guitar). Since that time Allgood’s limited, yet memorable, appearances recapture the energy and excitement of the band’s early years by always adding new material and arrangements that remain true to the band’s blues-rock-soul roots.
