Ashes to Amber

Each project that I have released since 2018 has prefaced some ideology of existence. Voodoo Blu was written directly out of the confusion of my first heartbreak. It felt as if someone was tweaking this blue depressive cloud over me in the same way one would with a Voodoo Doll. Fundamentally laying out what Ashes to Amber represents; A reverse fire if you will. When something is broken down into ash and reforms back into what it initially started as a brilliant amber fire, this is what the music will always represent to me.

Hailing from Charleston, South Carolina, Current Blue is an alt-R&B outfit that has become a staple of bedroom pop and alternative culture. The band features frontman STEPHAN, lead guitarist Yuki Tillis, and frequent guest appearances from rapper Britton Rauscher. Live performances feature Austin Klintworth on bass, and producer Kalen Richardson on drums. The band blends indie, surf and R&B into a unique and distinguishable sound that’s garnered hundreds of millions of streams internationally. Slated for performances such as SXSW and playing on Broadway, Current Blue is incredibly grateful for the family, friends, and fans they’ve built along the way.
